Andy Guise answered on 7 Nov 2018:

It is something I have always sort of been interested in, even if I didn’t use those words and do it scientifically. I remember as a kid going shopping with my Mum and thinking it was odd and sad that some people were homeless. And from there I have slowly got the opportunity to think about these problems, which to me are deeply unfair and deeply complex.

The more ‘scientific’ reason is that inequality and homelessness are incredibly bad for your health. People rough sleeping in England on average might die at 43 years old for women, and 47 for men. And more unequal societies are less good at taking care of people. There is less trust, less support, less willingness to help. And homelessness, as i’m sure you might see around you, is getting worse.

Maybe that was too general an answer, let me know if I can answer anything else.
