I find the particular outbreak in West Africa that I work on absolutely fascinating, because there are so many different parts to the puzzle.
It infected more people than every other outbreak combined – so why?
Did the virus adapt to humans? Did it get into humans multiple times from animals? Were the control measures we used not enough? Or did they just arrive too late? All of these questions can be answered with my dataset, and I want to know the answers to all of them!
