Marburg virus is a hemorrhagic fever virus that is transmitted via fruit bat or bodily fluids. Its very dangerous. Symptoms are flu-like and the disease can often be fatal. There have been multiple outbreaks across the world, the majority of which are documented in parts of Africa where a couple of people to a couple of hundred people are infected. While it doesn’t infect thousands of people, those who are infected often have a very low chance of survival.
