From a scientific standpoint, we know that our atoms become something else in time…we are turned in to something else in a way. Our atoms could go on to form part of a tree, an animal, part of space, a rock, the soil or something else entirely! The simple truth is though, we don’t know what entirely happens to human consciousness, ‘the soul’ or the bit of the brain that makes us, us though and what we experience as we die…there are lots of beliefs over the world, some based on tradition others based on current research.

I personally don’t think anything happens to you, because I think that I am my brain! But what’s important is the memories that you leave with people, and what you do to leave your mark on the world. That’s the key!
