• Question: If you met an alien scientist what questions would ou ask it and what would you talk about?

      If we ever met a race more developed than us with more knowledge of the universe I would have a massive list of questions about how things worked. There are thing we just cant explain and could potentially never explain. I’d be asking all about the origins of life, the big bang, dark matter in space, multiverses, the inner workings of time and more! Also I think it would be interesting just to see how they live their lives, what they do on a day to day basis….people watching but for aliens! 👽

      Having said that though we still have zero evidence for alien life in the universe. Due to the sheer size of the universe, I think if we did ever stumble across anything it would most likely be simple microbial life initially. It could be incredibly different to anything we have seen on earth though and although we wouldn’t be able to ask it anything directly, we could learn so much from it 🔬 💡

      This is a brilliant question!
      I would ask him about his most exciting discovery. I would want to know what type of research he does, and what methods does he use to do his research!
      I would love to speak with him about how is science in his planet and what other scientists are doing there! 🙂
      It would be really exciting!

      Ah that’s a great question!
      I think I’d ask him about evolution – is it the same on their planet? If it is, it could be a universal constant! We would predict that it is, but we have no way of really knowing.
      Also I’d ask about how diseases work for them, because the more fundamental things you know about something, the more ways you have of manipulating them! For example, if we know that they are cold blooded and have a lot of fungus diseases (just like the dinosaurs), then we know that heating up your body is a good defence against fungi.

      That’s a really interesting question. I’d be interested to know whether the alien species had made discoveries about the universe in roughly the same order as us, or whether they learnt about things in a completely unexpected way. I would also ask if they had any nature documentaries from their home planet that I would be able to watch.
