Ultimately, all energy sources we use come from the sun.
      .
Some are non-renewable and will run out like coal, petroleum, or natural gas that were once organisms that died and were trapped in the earth millions of years ago. Renewable energy like solar energy is energy from sunlight. It works as light photons from the sun knock electrons free from atoms, generating a flow of electricity in a solar panel’s photovoltaic cells.
      .
Energy is transferred from the sun. The sun has this energy because hydrogen atoms inside it get compressed so much they release and radiate out energy. This process is called nuclear fusion and is why the sun is a big fiery ball of energy in the sky ☀️
