      Maths is a massive part of all sciences, and its only going to get bigger. In recent years, there has been a load of interesting research into ‘mathematical modelling’. What this means is making and analysing simplified versions of things in the real world, to answer questions we couldn’t answer just by using experiments. Often these models are coded up and ran on a computer. Mathematical modelling is used in a wide range of applications, from the weather, to epidemics, to traffic, to neuroscience… the list goes on!
