Dreaming is our brain hallucinating during the REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep. This is important as its involved in brain repair, development and growth. We don’t fully understand sleep and dreams yet but we do know that if you stopped sleeping and stopped dreaming…you wouldn’t last very long! 💤
