• Question: Why cant penguins fly?

      They are evolutionary adapted to their environment, they can’t fly because they don’t need to fly to survive. They have instead adapted powerful swimming wings. If these were adapted to flying, they would be rubbish at flying most likely! This would hurt their ability to survive as their main way of life is swimming to hunt for fish. This has occurred through a process called natural selection and evolution over millions of years 🐧
