      I would say that patience and attention to detail are two important skills for most scientists.

      Enthusiasm and determination! You have to enjoy what you do or it will be harder to do it!
      Sometimes there is rejection involved in science, so you have to keep going even if it’s really hard

      Interest in science and learning are really important. Perseverance and determination for when things get tough (when experiments fail or you get a bad exam). Enthusiasm for your subject and research. A logical and methodical thought process. You don’t have to be a genius but if you give it a lot of effort, you can make it!
