• Question: say that a meteor ( big enough to wipe out the human race like the dinosaurs ) hit the earth what would happen to bacteria as an effect of this ?

      This could dramatically change our bacterial ecosystem. Many bacterial species could die out because of it if they are affected hard enough, others may thrive due to the new conditions. Giant meteorite crashes can lead to dramatically altered atmospheric and environmental conditions that could lead to potentially more extromphiles (bugs that grow really well in hazardous conditions like in a volcano) or could leave just the bacteria that is spread out the most with the most numbers. Its hard to say right now but it would definitly mix things up! ☄️
