I think, given its quite a small budget, I would focus first on making my outreach programme a success locally before thinking about that.

However, I plan on doing my outreach program with a student-led sexual health charity, and they currently have programmes across the UK!

It would be cool to set up a model for similar events in the future – possibly for different projects that have used information collected from volunteers. The first event would be a bit of a pilot to see what works and what doesn’t.

I will aim to stretch my program across the UK. I want to run scientific outreach sessions to teach science to people in areas where science isn’t popular or where people struggle with it. If people understand the science more, people who want to be scientists from those areas can pursue that option and also it could help solve other issues related to science affecting those areas or the rest of the country.
