Water turns to ice at 0 degrees celsius. Most ice however will be much colder than this. Envionmental ice in the environment is dependant on the atmospheric temperature. For example in Antarctica, it can reach -50 degrees Celsius. The ice in your freezer will typically be stored at around -20 degrees Celsius.
.
There other types of ice made from other things than water too! Dry ice is a common one. Its made from solid carbon dioxide. We use it a lot in the research laboratory as it can freeze biological samples quickly and be used for certain reactions. Dry ice is a frosty -78.5°C! ❄️
